Cultural Considerations:

Many believe that a person who has seizures
has been seized by a supernatural force or power.

In some cases, people who have seizures
are revered, perhaps as shamans. In
others, they are reviled because they are
thought to be possessed by evil spirits

There are also cultural assumptions
embedded in the practice of medicine.
